Thank you OCAD

"Though employers would not think to ask an electrician or carpenter to work for nothing, it often is taken for granted that artists and designers will do just about anything - including building complete web sites or branding products - solely for the purposes of enhancing their portfolios. Not so. Artists and designers also must eat and pay for housing. Artists and designers are highly skilled, and valued contributors to healthy economies."
Thanks for thinking of our students and alumni.

Thank you OCAD for posting that at the Job Board in Bold fonts. The employers in the world needs to know that! We don't work for free.

I had no idea any organization would even treat an artist/designer as such! Shame on them for even thinking so.

Imagine how visually unappealing our world would be without the artists/designer's inputs.

We might still be riding in rectangular cars, looking at white pieces of large ads with just black text... oh the horror.
